Who is this Dude Anyway?
In a nutshell…
Innovative, Exceptional, and Altruistic and I don’t take any crap. I’m a simple guy trying to make the most out of life. I just love life, being creative, and helping people.
On a more serious note, I am focused and I am crafting a life toward level five leadership (personally and professionally). The purpose of my blog is to discuss news and events, and philosophize on life solutions. It is my goal to provide you with valuable resources. I am dedicated to making the most of life and discovering whatever it takes to fulfill my purposes. This blog is one step in the process.
Who is this guy anyway?….
I grew up in Gretna, VA – a small town with one stop light. I graduated from Gretna High School and went to Virginia Tech. I was an active member of Alpha Phi Omega (LFS). I attribute the growth of my passion for servant-leadership, humanitarianism, philanthropy, and social responsibility to the experiences gain during my time in Blacksburg. I later received my MBA from Averett University. I decided this to increase my ability to think strategically. ( Afterall, I am an INTJ-Mastermind, anyway….lol). This program gave me a better perspective of other viewpoints and inter-connectivity and impact of decisions. I really helps you think in a different way-holistically. Plus, I got to meet some really cool people!
I have always been and always will be entrepreneurial. I have a Senior non-medical home support business called Senior Lifestyle Concierge.
I am a volunteer for Cultural Arts for Excellence where I tutor middle school students. I am passionate about languages I’m proficient in Spanish (intermediate), and French (intermediate). I like warm weather. I like to travel. I love soccer, drinking tea with lemon, and I am eco-friendly.
Above all, I’ve learned to walk with God. Over the course of my life thus far, I have lost three of my closest friends. First, my grandmother who died of Alzhiemer’s and meant the world to me. Second, one friend committed suicide when I was in my teens. Most recently I lost another in friend in the Virginia Tech Shootings. I don’t mean to bring this up for pity sake; its quite the opposite. What I’ve learn is this life is finite and we should be focusing our energy on what we were meant to do or what you are most passionate about in the present.
Personal Philosophy
While many of us think of ourselves as humans searching for a spiritual awakening, I see myself as a spiritual being attempting to cope with a human experience. When I learned to see myself from the perspective of the spirit within, it helped me to figure out what I am most passionate about at this present moment in time. When we discover our personal missions, we feel its demand. It fills us with enthusiasm and a burning desire to get to work on it. You learn not to necessarily go along with the crowd and success is not rightly measured by the worldly standards of wealth, prestige and power. None of these bestow happiness unless they are rightly used. To use them rightly one must possess wisdom and love for God and humanity. That is what I strive for daily.
Personal Objectives
My life-long objectives are three-fold: a) Create efficient and effective solutions so the elderly focus on optimal living at home, b) help businesses and entrepreneurs identify and maximize their competitive advantage and yield greater social value, and c) Helps others aspiring moguls on the move operate in the realm of their greater selves.
